Q + A's

How long does my hair need to be before my appointment?

For the best results, hair should be at least ¼ inch long (about the length of a grain of rice). This is typically around 2–3 weeks after shaving or 4–6 weeks after your last wax.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

Please arrive with clean skin and avoid applying lotions or oils on the day of your appointment.

Makeup remover and cleansing wipes are available if needed. If you use Retin-A, tretinoin, Accutane, or other medications or skincare products that may increase skin sensitivity, please let me know before your appointment, as some medications are not compatible with waxing.

Are there any reasons I should wait to wax?

Waxing may not be recommended if you have a sunburn, recent chemical peel, laser treatment, active skin irritation, or if you’re taking certain medications that make the skin more sensitive. If you’re unsure, feel free to text me before your appointment. I’m always happy to help.

Can I get waxed while I’m on my period?

Yes! If you’re comfortable, waxing can absolutely be done during your menstrual cycle. I simply ask that you wear a fresh tampon or menstrual cup for your appointment.

How often should I get waxed?

Most clients schedule appointments every 4–6 weeks for the best results. Staying on a regular schedule leads to smoother results and a more comfortable waxing experience over time.
